Posted on Posted in Media Statements

The Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr Andries Nel, will attend a dinner conversation, hosted by ACC.

  • Date: 24 October 2017
  • Time: 18:00 – 22.00
  • Venue: A4 Arts Foundation, 23 Buitenkant Street, Cape Town

The purpose of the conversation is to explore how vital urban discussions can be opened up beyond a narrow academic and policy audience. In particular, in the context of Heritage Month, the purpose of the evening will be to engage artists, cultural practitioners, heritage experts and urbanists.

The idea is to canvass a cross-section of perspectives on how the broader goals of the IUDF can be advanced through a focus on the roles and potentialities of culture and heritage questions in South African cities.

Deputy Minister Nel will share some opening reflections and then guests will discuss the key issues around the subject.
