Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Zweli Mkhize will participate in the Black Management Forumâ€™s roundtable discussion entitled â€œConversations with CEOsâ€ as a panelist to share his experience and views on ethical leadership. The event will be attended by various prominent business leaders and CEOs at Protea Fire and Ice Hotel in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg on 12 July 2018 at 18h00.
The theme of the event is Ethical Leadership as a Catalyst for Transformation and Inclusive Growth.
The roundtable discussion seeks to draw attention to pertinent leadership issues that current leaders from civil society, public sector and private sector need to grapple with together to advance societal transformation and good governance in order to propel the countryâ€™s economy to greater heights.
Ahead of the roundtable discussion, Minister Mkhize said: â€œEthical leadership is at the core of transformation every aspect of our society and economy as our country depends on good leadership to achieve its developmental state agenda and create robust and competitive economy.â€
Minister has recently met the leadership of Moral Regeneration Movement and agreed to explore ways to ingrain ethical leadership to local government leaders through councillor induction programme as a social aspect of the CoGTAâ€™s Back to Basics programme which aims to promote good governance, financial proficiency, efficient service delivery and anti-corruption attitudes in local government.
