1. It is a pleasure indeed to be part of the sod-turning, marking the birth of a mall that will be bringing services closer to the community by:
i. Creating opportunity for investment and ii. Providing facility for the community to benefit.
1.1. This is a face lift of the community which will be:
i. Entrenching the pride of the area; ii. Consolidating the dignity of the leadership, traditional, elected or appointed; iii. Confirming that traditional communities can as well attract powerful investors; iv. Raising a voice for all to proclaim that Ga-Pilane is not a dusty small nonentity and v. A voice like those that filled the streets of ancient Jerusalem when prophet Isaiah's prophetic words were to be legalised; thus
2. As developers, what do we learn from this great message that:
2.1. There’s growth in expansion; 2.2. There are business opportunities in rural areas; 2.3. There’s mutual benefits in sound partnership; 2.4. There’s reward in treating people with respect and 2.5. There’s prosperity in sharing skills and exposure.
3. As leaders we need to realise that:
3.1. There is growth in releasing land; 3.2. Success in real partnership; 3.3. Stability in working with people; 3.4. Comfort in cooperation between traditional leaders and municipality and 3.5. Peace of mind in monitoring
4. The community must have:
4.1. Joy and sense of ownership; 4.2. Satisfaction and sense of carrying; 4.3. Benefit maximisation with sense of support; 4.4. Development in democracy and 4.5. Triumph in order.
5. Opportunity to share.
5.1. Transformation of traditional affairs:
(a) Disputes (b) Powers (c) NHTL
5.2. Municipalities.
5.3. Business-Adopt-A-Municipality was launched yesterday with an excellent model of possibility in achieving. 5.4. Therefore the Traditional Authority must also adopt a community.
6. As Government we will:
6.1. Release officials from the department to work with the community.
