With regard to recent newspaper reports alleging that the Acting Director-General of the Department of Cooperative Governance¸ Mr Muthotho Sigid, was “kicked out” of the SAMWU congress; the Department wishes to put it on record that these reports are inaccurate.
Mr Sigidi was in Cape Town where he was briefing the parliamentary portfolio committee on cooperative governance and traditional affairs at said date and time.
