It was reported in the Northern Review newspaper of 26 June 2012, under the heading Govt keeps citizens informed with land claims booklet, that Minister Richard Baloyi announced - in his address at the Homu Day Celebration held on 23 June 2012 at Makoxa Village in Giyani - that a land claims booklet would be released soon.
The minister never mentioned the land claims as it was reported.
Instead, the minister announced that a booklet consisting of Traditional Leadership Claims and Disputes would be released. The matter as reported is incorrect and the reporter has since been requested to retract the statement accordingly.
