Minister Dlamini Zuma to Deliver the 2019/20 CoGTA Budget Vote in the NCOP

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and Deputy Minister Obed Bapela, will lead the CoGTA team to the National Council of Provinces (NCoP) today, 18 July 2019 to deliver the CoGTA budget vote.

The budget vote in the NCOP follows the two days CoGTA strategic planning session and the presentation of the budget in National Assembly.

The budget vote will be anchored on key targets to be achieved and CoGTA’s contribution to achieving the seven Apex Priorities of the sixth administration outlined by the President during the 2019 post elections SoNA, guided by the “Khawuleza approach”, which is a call for accelerated service delivery across all sectors in South Africa.

The address by Minister and Deputy Minister will reflect on progress thus far to put in place plans focusing on turning around municipalities in distress and the interventions in other areas within the portfolio.
