Following the challenges experienced by a number of municipalities, government has put in place some intervention measures aimed to turn around those that are distressed.
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will lead the CoGTA team comprising Deputy Minister of Obed Bapela and the senior leadership of CoGTA to brief the select committee.
The briefing will be on the status of 40 interventions in municipalities in terms of section 139 (1) (B) of the constitution across the provinces.
