As Women’s Month draws to a close, the Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Ms Thembisile Nkadimeng will visit Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality in Limpopo Province.
The Deputy Minister will address the Community Work Programme (CWP) participants, Implementing Agents and other stakeholders.
The CWP provides an employment safety net to eligible participants by offering them a minimum number of regular days of work each month.
The event will be held under the theme: “The Role of African Women in Anchoring Sustainability in the Socio-Economic Development Agenda in Africa.” It will celebrate and exhibit work done by women who are part of the programme (CWP). The CWP has thus far recruited 208 575 women whose work continues to make a huge difference in communities across the country.
