Minister Dlamini Zuma's Response to Dr. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group's Keynote Address

Cape Town Amali welcome dinner – Responding to Dr. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group’s keynote address on the critical role that city leaders play in changing Africa’s development trajectory, Minister Dlamini Zuma urged African city leaders to always put people first. In order to reduce urban migration, she urged African countries to invest in rural areas and small towns. The Minister also urged African countries to prioritize the skills revolution, citing the African continent’s skills gap as a barrier to development. The Minister concluded by informing the audience about the Eastern Seaboard Development and inviting the African Development Bank and other investors to join South Africa in the development of the region.
