The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will on Monday, 27 Feb 2023 convene the inaugural Eastern Seaboard Development (ESD) Skills Revolution Summit where she will also deliver a keynote address under the theme: “From skills revolution to productivity in the Eastern Seaboard.”

The Eastern Seaboard Development is a broad and multifaceted vision to develop a new smart city and to bring in new developments across KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Seaboard Development is a District Development Model flagship project, which aims to connect developmental opportunities across the four district municipalities straddling KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape provinces.
