Deputy Minister Parks Tau To Lead CoGTA Mandela Day Activities

The Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Mr. Parks Tau, will lead the COGTA Mandela Day activities as part of the Nelson Mandela Day of charitable action.

This important day also serves as a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time to reflect on Tata’s values and principles and to make a positive impact in their own communities.

As an integral part of honoring the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela, the COGTA Mandela Day initiative aims to promote community engagement and social responsibility. Activities of the day include the patching of potholes and cleaning of illegal dumping sites in and around Emfuleni Local Municipality.

Deputy Minister Parks Tau will be joined by esteemed representatives from Gauteng SALGA, Sedibeng District Municipality and Emfuleni Local Municipality, making it a collective effort towards positive change as envisioned by the District Development Model (DDM).
