Building Resilient Cities: Brics Urbanisation Forum On Urban Resilience For A Sustainable Future

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Thembi Nkadimeng, will this afternoon officially close the two days BRICS Urbanisation Forum held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa as follows:

Held under the theme “Advancing urban resilience for sustainable cities and towns for future generations”, the second day, 27 July 2023 will continue throughout the day focusing on showcasing practical solutions and actions that contribute to building urban resilience in BRICS cities. This will see delegates exploring innovative strategies, projects, and initiatives implemented in cities to address the challenges of rapid urbanisation, climate change, and social vulnerabilities.
