Minister Thembi Nkadimeng is in the Mpumalanga Province for a Ministerial Outreach programme held in Govan Mbeki Local Municipality.

The Ministerial outreach and the engagements are in response to the perennial challenges that continue to drag down the performance of municipalities.

Being at the coalface of service delivery, Municipalities have the responsibility to provide basic services to communities such as refuse collection, supply potable water and sanitation, etc.

Opening the session, Minister sounded a clarion call – “We can’t allow municipalities to collapse. We have to work together to ensure that municipalities deliver on their mandate as expected”. Working together we can set struggling on course to achieve their mandate.
