The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Ms Thembi Nkadimeng, today, 19 September 2023, led the CoGTA presentation to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA).

The CoGTA team responded to questions from the committee about the expenditure classified as unauthorised stemming from the work of the Nhlapo Commission. The commission that had the responsibility of resolving disputes over traditional leadership did its work and presented a report that assisted in restoring the dignity of the institution of Traditional Leadership.

The SCOPA will respond to the submission by CoGTA in due course.
