National House Of Traditional And Khoi-San Leaders To Host Xivijo To Foster Development And Social Cohesion In Traditional Communities

The National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders, under the leadership of Chairperson Kgosi TM Seatlholo, is set to host a strategic meeting known as Xivijo with all provincial and local houses, government and private sector representatives under the theme “promotion of development and social cohesion in Traditional Communities through cooperation with government and the private sector.”

The Deputy President of South Africa, His Excellency Paul Mashatile, will lead the government’s Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT), which comprises various ministers dedicated to driving specific outcomes in rural communities.

Xivijo emanates from the work of the IMTT which was established by the President. It is a candid session aimed at tracking progress and taking accountability. It is aimed at forging a common vision for further development in rural communities which will contribute positively to social cohesion.

In a show of unity and commitment to this important cause, Kings and principal traditional leaders have also been extended invitations to participate.
