Every Municipality Must Work

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Ms Thembi Nkadimeng will participate at the Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium to be held from 17 -19 March 2024, at the Century City Conference Centre, Cape Town.

The symposium has been organized to unite stakeholders in infrastructure investment, advocating for goals to accelerate economic recovery through infrastructure, fostering partnerships between public and private sectors, and identifying investment opportunities.

As one of the panelists, Minister Nkadimeng will participate and input on the topic – “*Financing Municipal Bulk Infrastructure*,” which is critical, given the status of ailing municipal finances and infrastructure in the country. 

Other key discussions and deliberations will be centred around Policy Perspective, Big Infrastructure Wins, Building the Network Industries, Key Infrastructure Matters and so forth.

The symposium also intends to shape the conversations about regulatory and policy reforms, innovative funding models for infrastructure and investing in infrastructure for a shared prosperity for all.
