The Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Dr. Namane Dickson Masemola will join learners from ACUDEO College Thornview Secondary, the M&M Foundation, and VAKA HINA in commemorating Nelson Mandela International Day.

This community-centred initiative aligns with the core values of Ubuntu, service, and solidarity championed by the late President Nelson Mandela. The Deputy Minister will deliver brief remarks and take part in the community service activities alongside learners, civil society organisations, and volunteers.

The Mandela Day programme will include:
• Donation of food and clothing hampers
• On-site preparation and sharing of meals with children
• Inspirational addresses from community leaders
• Interactive engagement with the children and staff of the home
