                                New Venture Creation (Chemical Manufacturing)

The project aims to capacitate small businesses with marketing and financial skills. 

The participants were further trained on technical courses to manufacture and sell detergents. 

The skills programme took place in Greater Giyani where 20 participants were trained, in Lepelle Nkumpi 20

Participants were trained and in Makhado , participants from different municipalities within Vhembe district were accommodated. The 20 participants comprised of participants from Thulamela , Musina and Makhado municipalities. 

Limpopo province has trained 60 participants in total who have completed the program and will receive accredited certificates. They were also provided with start-up equipment to ensure business viability.

The project aims to reduce poverty and unemployment in rural communities by creating sustainable and profitable small businesses.

                                                            Artisanal Training with NHRBC

Cape Agulhas – Napier – Plumbing Training

Learners receive comprehensive, fully accredited plumbing training delivered in   partnership with the NHBRC. The programme is accredited by recognised bodies, including CETA    and QCTO, and is aligned with the NQF framework.

Cape Agulhas – Bredasdorp – Carpentry Training

 Learners participate in a full-service, accredited carpentry training programme, offered through   the NHBRC. Accreditation is provided by CETA and QCTO, ensuring compliance   with the NQF framework.

Cape Agulhas – Arniston – Bricklaying Training

  Learners are provided with a complete, accredited bricklaying training programme facilitated in   collaboration with the NHBRC. The training is accredited by CETA and QCTO and aligned with the NQF framework.

There are currently 15 participants on the three respective trainings, totaling 45 participants.

  • These training programmes provide learners with both practical and theoretical knowledge required to work across various trades.
  • Their primary purpose is to equip participants with the skills needed to function effectively as assistants, artisans, or entrepreneurs.
  • The goal is to develop competent, employable, and compliant artisans who meet industry standards.
  • By addressing skills shortages, improving compliance, enhancing safety, and fostering youth employment, these trainings contribute to both individual growth and broader economic development.
  • These trainings are being hosted in the Cape Agulhas site in Napier, Bredasdorp and Arniston.
  • Participants are receiving a stipend every two weeks for participating in the programme.
  • These towns have a rich heritage of skilled artisans and there is currently a rapid economic expansion and future special development plans.
