MINISTER HLABISA TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT THE JOZINI LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (LED) SUPPORT HANDOVER

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa, will deliver the keynote address at the official handover of Local Economic Development (LED) support to Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) in Jozini, uMkhanyakude District.

This milestone event marks a significant intervention by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government to strengthen local businesses, stimulate job creation, and deepen inclusive economic growth in one of the province’s priority development corridors. The support forms part of the Jozini Cooperative and SMME Support Initiative under the EPWP Local Government Flagship Programme, implemented in partnership with Jozini Local Municipality.

Minister Hlabisa will preside over the handover of tools of trade, equipment, and resources to selected cooperatives and SMMEs, showcasing government’s commitment to empowering local enterprises and enhancing community resilience through sustainable economic opportunities.
