1. To receive applications for the recognition of Khoi-San communities and leaders.
2. To investigate the applications received.
3. To prepare comprehensive reports on each application that has been received and investigated.
4. To obtain comment from the Premier concerned
5. To make recommendations to the Minister on the possible recognition of Khoi-San communities and leaders
