With a passion for education, he pursued a career in teaching, eventually rising to become the Principal of Somfula High School. His commitment to his profession led him to pursue higher education, earning an SSTD and B.Paed Degree in History from the University of Zululand, as well as a BA Honours Degree in History from the University of South Africa.
Between 2009 and 2022, he was a Member of the Provincial Legislature in the Limpopo provincial government, representing the African National Congress (ANC), and held various positions in the Limpopo Executive Council.
